If you put a breakpoint in the init of the 2nd form and step through it, what do you trace? Are you actually involved in a read when the 1st form loads? In other words, does the first form load and wait for user action and you launch the 2nd form manually from a button click or some other user intervention or does the 1st form load the 2nd form automatically? If the latter, then where in the program is the READ and can you post the code that launches the first form to the read in the program?
