Just looks to me like another way to finance a low-cost, open-source-based computer purchase with a monthly subscription. Their subscription does NOT include the required broadband connection.
You can get a name-brand, Windows-based PC or laptop from one of our local ISPs, Telus, including ADSL broadband:

Not directly comparable to the Zonbu laptop (it aims squarely at the small/light crowd), price currently $400. The Zonbu is $479 without a commitment. Windows-based laptops with standard hard drives start at about $600 (or less).
Some of their supposed benefits, such as automatic on-line backup are of limited or no value to a lot of people. I don't know anyone who would trust critical/sensitive information to a service like that. I had to chuckle at their "disaster-proof servers" - they make no attempt to address the most likely, and devastating disaster, namely that their company will fail financially.
I see nothing ground-breaking here.
