That's the leftover from my teaching years. Clarity first. If you can't express the subject in clear words, you can't expect the matter to be understood.

I think the general fields are just a bad episode in the history of VFP (ActiveDoc is probably another stillborn), where it looked like a good idea at the time. Now ten years later the DDE technology (or whatever - does anyone remember what the acronym meant?)(no googling, you cheaters!) is pretty much forgotten, but the general fields will still be around ten or years from now. What was the estimated number of guys making good money in 2.x apps?
