OK, let's see how fast I can do this...it's exactly 12:01 AM....

- Could we see both an undefeated team and a winless team? Well, the Pats made the Steelers look bad, and Miami made Buffalo look like a Super Bowl team. My guess is we'll see both a 16-0 team AND an 0-16 team.

- Speaking of Buffalo...if they beat the Browns next week, I'll accept the possibility that they might be a playoff team. But my money is still on the Browns.

- The G-man have 6 straight road wins. With everyone wondering how dangerous the Vikings could be in the playoffs, remember that the Giants are playing pretty well right now.

- Bears are toast. And the Redskins victory was costly for them as well. If the Vikings win against the 'Skins, the NFC playoff picture could be over by Christmas.

- Just how dumb is Eric Mangini??? The 2nd on-sides kick attempt probably cost his team a victory.

- And in the 'almost as dumb' department, Andy Reid had six seconds to go. Most teams can run a quick sideline pattern in 2-3 seconds. Remember, 6 seconds means it could be as many as 6.5 seconds. Sure, David Akers has a powerful leg, and sure, another play is risky...but another 8-10 yards and I bet the game would have gone into OT. But regardless, the Eagles are dead. And I've waited months to say this...how can someone expect a team to win when their coach looks like a calzone with legs?

- Don't look now, but Seattle is playing some pretty good ball. They sacked Kurt Warner early and often, and also picked him off 3 times. So while we debate Dallas and GB, the 'Hawks are starting to rev it up.

- Is it me, or is the luster of L.T. starting to wear off? He pulled a pretty bush league move on the sidelines after Phillip Rivers got picked off. (Now, let's be honest, when my wife throws a football, she throws it "less like a girl" than when Phillip Rivers throws it). But either way, I'm getting a little tired of him. So I'll personally look forward to when the cameras focus on him when the Chargers go out by the 2nd round. (But yeah, he's a great runner).

- OK...can we now FINALLY agree that the Texans were better off gettting Mario Williams than Reggie Bush? Williams has turned Houston into a pretty decent defensive unit. Watch out for them in the next few years.

- This is a bad year for KC.

- Rumors continue that Bill Cowher will take over for John Fox next year in Carolina. Not sure I buy it (yet). But the Panthers are just sad right now. Steve Smith is one of my favorite players in the league ('I dunno why there's all this fuss about me....all i want to do is catch TD passes, go home, and kiss my wife')....but I really feel for him right now.

- OK, Detroit actually ran the ball today. But I believe this is Dallas' year. Still, I'd love to see the NFC Title game at Lambeau. For a brief moment today, it seemed like that might be possible.

- Green Bay today was like the PA Crew in a Geisha House....everybody scored.

- Jax is good, really really good. I almost think they might give the Pats a run. But until they can beat Indy, they'll never get past the 2nd round.

- Saints and Falcons play tomorrow. Yawn...

- Last week's Raven game on MNF was the most emotional game I've ever seen. The Ravens had the game, and unfortunately lost their cool at the end. But it was a classic game. Tonight's game, however, was a different story. The Ravens were officially bitch-slapped tonight.

OK, 12:18...not bad.
