Hi Joaquin, John's method works fine but the preferred way of doing it is using a Stored Procedure - it has the benefit of being able to modify the code without a recompile and also maintains the client / server architecture, jusy my two cents worth

In some instances, you're right.....however, it's also possible that someone may be working with rows in a disconnected dataset, maybe for a local work area....I've certainly needed to do things like what John provided in his code.
