My backup Netware Admin has called me with an interesting problem. (I am currently recovering from back surgery and can't go to the office.) I wrote a lookup app in VFP and granted read and file scan rights thru the NDS Tree to a "remote" group of users which does not reside on my server. Works great for them to do lookups on the DB. My backup has done some cleanup on the DB and reindexed the files. Now the "remote" group has lost rights to the database. The reindexing was done at a time when no one was trying to access the file, opened exclusively, etc. Local users of the same app (i.e. people who are users on my server do not seem to have any difficulty and do not lose their rights. Has anyone experienced anything like this as a result of reindexing a file? I thought I would ask here first before trying the Novell section. Thanks....
