I think Fox news is saying that he might have taken his own life.

>Take a look at the 2 church shootings in Colorado this weekend. This guy killed 2 people
>at the first church, then drove to the second church and opened fired there and killed
>another person. He was then shot & killed by a private, volunteer security gaurd.
>
>IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE ONE CITIZEN WAS ARMED WITH A GUN FOR DEFENSE THAT THIS GUY WAS STOPPED
>
>Had the citizen not had a gun, many more people would have died. All your facts & figures &
>rantings and ravings cannot deny that a gun saved lived here.
>
>When private citizens are allowed to arm themselves for defense, lives are saved.
>
>Case closed.

>>>Do you think the average american would stand a chance oposing three armed intruders. Do
>>>you think your chances grow by having a gun or do you think you'll be shot as soon as they
>>>notice you're armed...

>>>
>>>Yes, I stand a better chance than Taylor did with his machete.
>>>
>>>A bugler is seldomly out there to kill you..... if you don't stand in his way he won't
>>>kill you. If you carry a gun and feel like a hero your chances of surviving that event
>>>drasticly decreases.

>>>
>>>Nonsense.

>>From wikipedia, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_violence_in_the_United_States)
>>
>>Between 1987 and 1990, David McDowall found that guns were used in defense during a crime incident 64,615 times annually.[59] This equates to two times out of 1,000 incidents (0.2%) that occurred in this time frame.[59] For violent crimes (assault, robbery, and rape), guns were used 0.83% of the time in self defense.[59] Of the times that guns were used in self defense, 71% of the crimes were committed by strangers, with the rest of the incidents evenly divided between offenders that were acquaintances or persons well known to the victim.[59] Of all incidents where a gun was used for self defense, victims shot at the offender 28% of the time.[59] In 20% of the self defense incidents, the guns were used by police officers.[59] During the same time period, there were 46,319 gun homicides,[60] and the National Crime Victimization Survey estimates that 2,628,532 nonfatal crimes involving guns occurred.[59]

>>you might feel lucky and well trained, but notice I said "The average american". I do not have a high opinion everyone will react the same.

>>As for Sean Taylor (I really don't know the event you're referring to...) it is an incident. You cannot draw any conclusions on an incident. Else I could easily say that if the US had implemented gun control at the same time we did, this event probably would never have happened. or ... If he just co-operated he'd probably would still be alive. or... if he was presenting his gun, he'd probably still would be dead.
>>
>>Again, you could feel that you could hold a gun for self protection to feel safer, but the citation above does not draw that picture for the average american. Only 0.2% of gun incidents were used for self defence. Great....

>>>Sean Taylor, his girlfriend and his baby were holed up in their bedroom behind a locked
>>>door. The 4 thugs broke open the bedroom door and then shot Taylor. He died because he was
>>>holding a machete, not a shotgun. These 4 guys brought a gun for a reason. To shoot anyone
>>>getting in their way.
>>>
>>>My master bedroom has only one door in, as do most houses in America. Had they broken open
>>>the door to my bedroom, the first thing that would have happened is I would have cut them
>>>down with 3 or 4 shots from my shotgun.
>>>
>>>Game over. I win. And I wouldn't loose a minutes sleep over it.
>>>
>>>And I'm not the one leaving horizontal in a body bag.
I ain't skeert of nuttin eh?
Yikes! What was that?
