I am planning to port a vfp app. to SQL Server 2005 Std. to Express.
For very small deployments, I need a database that is:-
- easy to deploy,
- preferably similar in stmt. syntax usage etc. to SQL 2005. But that is not a must,
- as ROBUSTNESS & SPEED are the top priorities. I need the most crash, corruption n maintenance free database.
- Stored procs, constraints needed.
- low system requirements.

How does VistaDB compare to MySQL & Firebird in terms of Robustness & Speed? Vista DB 3.2 has all SQL Server features but it can't be used with VFP 9, there is a 2.1 ver which is for win32 uses oledb, but has less features.
Problem with sql express seems to be size of db & .net framework required to deploy. Does sql express xcopy deploy work with multi users?
