You are dead-on, Alan. I'm not a big emoticon kind of guy. I like people to get that I'm kidding. Or not! You usually get it. I use them at times that I think the person may be insulted if they thought I was serious, but that's pretty much it. And, if everyone agreed, how boring would that be? Of course, then there would probably be a whole lot of smiley faces being passed around.
