I went into VFP 8.0 and checked the resource file location under options, and then checked the foxuser files. the foxuser files were corrupted since it didn't seem to recognize the lcoation, and I replace them with a clean set foxuser.dbf & foxuser.fpt and reset the file location and checked "Use resource file". This worked.
