>>>Anyone here happen to get a chance to see the Led Zeppelin reunion concert in person Monday night?
>>>
>>>From what I've read, it appears that they had a great time performing together as a band after all those years. Of course without John Bonham. They also seem to be able to play and capture some of the magic of the past.
>>>
>>>If only they'd do a tour now.
>>
>>Apparently there are a lot of people who saw them and think that it would be a real shame for them to stop now after that concert.
>
>I know what you mean. I'd be in line for tickets should they ever make it to Toronto. Thus far, the only glimpse of the concert from last Monday that I've been able to find is the stuff on You Tube. Not exactly high quality but enough to make me wish I was there.

The review in my newspaper was very positive. Nevertheless, I think it would be better they'd not tour the old way. That is, they'd not try to behave as young guys on stage.

Last year I visited Yes and it was a great show. But even more impressive was Los Lobos on a festival in my town this year. They come from Los Angeles and started in 1973. I saw five men of 60+ sitting or standing on stage very quietly behind the drums, the keyboard or holding the guitar. No wild acts at all. But the music, the music was ... WOW, WILD. It again demonstrated me that there's really only a superficial correlation between wild behavior on stage and sweeping music.
