FWIW, US holiday provisions are miserly by international standards. Many nations have statutory holidays to cover festive season/national festivals plus at least four weeks of annual leave to be negotiated with employers.

I agree...and it seems that in the last 20 years it's grown worse.

I can remember when most employers gave both Thanksgiving day and the day after Thanksgiving as holidays. Now it's just Thanksgiving. Of course, most people just take Black Friday as a holiday.

Maybe we can have National PA Crew Day? ;)
