I bet the employees at HQ in Paris get a better deal than thatAbsolutely.
FWIW, generous policies lead to weird distortions. In at least one country, annual paid sick leave (separate from other leave entitlement) recently went from 5 days to 10 days annually. More than a few firms reported that workforce sickness suddenly doubled as well, with many workers reporting sick up to 100% of their paid sick leave entitlement but not a second over. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
