I've done some on Dymo printers, but haven't really tried to use it with .lbx or .frx files; its API is very simple and it can do a lot of barcodes (including C128, which turned an almost-nightmare into a no-brainer). The API consists of one ActiveX, of which you call about 4-5 methods (find/select printer, open a label file, stuff a value into a field, print the label). The downside is that it's using the thermal stickers which cost more than your regular stickers.

I managed to print to it from Excel, but positioning, paper sizes etc were under influence of too many factors (several margins as set by Excel, Windows, driver and south wind). Using the ActiveX was just simple and I got it to work within an hour.
