OK, I see this is pointless, so I'd rather abuse your attention (hey, you already paid it - so why let it go to waste!) and ask two seemingly relevant question about stock market:
1) what's the point? I mean, when they say "NASDAQ has gone down two points", how much of what is that, actually? What's one point?
2) when it goes up "two tenths of
one percent", how do I know which percent was that? There's a hundred of them. And how do I know if that percent is really the one - maybe someone substituted another one. Who would notice?
