These are already existing systems and are set up with Windows, there is not a lot of traffic in the branches (meaning the machine working as the "server" and being used as a workstation won't be stressed), and there is no Linux experience in the company, so that's probably not a real feasible solution in this situation. But thanks anyway. I'd like to get some more experience myself with Linux, but it probably won't happen here.
>I realize that many have provided you with how to get your request done. But may I suggest a Linux box running samba. With the p2p installs I have done the actual workstation could never be used because it was to busy acting as a server. So if you can't use it as a workstation then why not turn it into a real server? Linux is free and Samba performs as well as many windows servers available today when comes to file sharing.
