VFE had a collection class which worked in VFP7 - it was based on an array, and IIRC used AScan() to find the elements by key. It did have the proper method names which later appeared in VFP8's native collection class, so when you recompile that under VFP8 or 9, you'd only have to remove that class and everything would work.
