Sure, you could do that. The only thing you can't do is run the executable on the Linux box itself UNLESS:

- you use it to host a Win32 OS instance via VMWare or some other virtualizing environment
- there have been some experiments to get VFP running under Wine, but I'm not sure if they were ever fully functional, and besides IIRC the VFP9 EULA expressly forbids this
