Just another example of disk caching causing problems.

I did a clean reinstall of XP on my Workstation the week before last, I also forgot to disable the default disk caching setting.

I take backups of all workstations to a Maxtor 1TB Share Storage II Device using MSBACKUP, low and behold, during a backup of Drive C to this device I received a delayed write error out of windows and the backup was no good, turned off disk caching and all is now OK.

BTW I had already disabled the redirector caching but it doesn't seem to have any effect.
