William,
Thank You.

I responded to an e-mail that I received from a Thread member recently. I’d like to use some of what I said to respond to all that have participated in this subject.
I believe that a perspective is established based upon which door you come through. There are a lot of doors that enter into this world of computers.
In regards to my opinion, I rarely become involved with subject matters that stir up the pot too much. God, I’m surprised to see the topic last as long as it has. A couple of times I felt it was falling into the same sensitive category as religion and politics. I’ve backed off lately because I could see some of the replies building to high emotion. It's strange! I even felt a judgement to my character from one or two. Yes, my opinions are strong concerning the issue, but my opinions were never meant to be directed towards individuals. I wanted to protest against some business attitudes and practices that I disagree with. Also, it was sort of a polling issue for me. I had brief discussions concerning education or the lack of it with some of my co-workers. I wanted to broaden the census. I did that, and received more. It must have been a buried sore spot with more people than I realized.
For the most part, it turned out about the way I thought it would.
To those who understood and supported my point of view, THANK YOU. To those who didn't, I respect your point of view.
Dave
