THe problem is that when you change _asciicols, everything is widened, not just the desired column.
I don't think you will have a general solution for all reports. If you set _asciicols to a very wide value, the reports will look horrible.
I create specific text reports, by creating a text file first - through means other than a standard VFP report. I ended up creating download #
9991 - but this requires re-writing all text reports, since it is not based on FRX files.
