Yes you do, but if the user clicks the save button they are put back in the previous form without the modal form having been released. When you next try to run the form it is interfering with the one that is already there but not seen. After to return focus to the controls in the previous form, release the current one so you can call it again later.

Also the READ EVENTS is not necessary in the calling code at all.
