Like your list, with the exception of number3 ( nothing wrong with it, just never got into it and found the math thing a bit of a stretch ), Ghost Whisperer which I just never found time for and 24, which I watch, but have the reservations I've previously expressed that the writers don't seem to have ever met real people but write dialog from what they've seen on TV and movies.

Medium is very cool but uneven. Still quite watchable.

Forgot to mention The Shield and Rescue Me ( and my guilty pleasure - Nip Tuck which has this season created in Eden an archtype for the ages to even exceed Kimber )

I'm really getting into Dirty Sexy Money, Big Bang Theory, Bones and Pushing Daisies as well.

Don't feel guilty about Buffy - most TV critics have it on the all time top 10 list . If you get started on Angel you'll probably get hooked as well - Joss Whedon really is a genius. Firefly was shortlived but if you haven't seen it, catch it on DVD and the movie followup Serenity.

>I hate admitting this, but Buffy was a really great show. I only caught it by accident (my daughter loved it) and got hooked immediately. Other favorites:

>>Well, just go to the library, get Arrested Development, The Wire, The Shield, Deadwood, Rome and Buffy on DVD and you should make it through the winter <s>

>>>Laura San Giacomo is in it? I am so there.

>>>My TV is probably going to be in full use for a while (what access I have to it any more, which is not much) with the new DVD set of "Blade Runner", which arrived today. Three (count 'em) versions of the movie, cleaned up prints, and 9 hours of extras which actually sound compelling for once. It's one of my favorite movies despite a general disinterest in sci-fi. I can't wait.
>>>
>>>The prospects for new fare on TV are looking pretty grim with the writers' strike continuing and no end in sight. Most shows have used up what they had in the can when the strike started. So prepare for an onslaught of reruns and reality shows that don't need writers. I saw an article the other day speculating that there might not be an Oscar ceremony this year if there isn't a settlement. It's looking like a classic case of neither side wanting to give in and both of them losing.

Holly Hunter is stunning. Lara SanGiacammo has a scene out in a field in the second last episode that just burns into your brain.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
