It works great for that, I did it with some episodes for my wife so she can watch in the bus in her ride to work, I was, for example, able to put 2 episodes of lost and one of house in a 1gb memory stick, giving her enough watching time for her almost 2 hours commute (both ways). With a 4Gb stick, you should be able to put a full length movie or two. The only problem is that the transfer is time consuming to be doing it every day, so she mostly plays.
