That's what I was afraid of (how frustrating of Microsoft to treat these two controls so differently). Yes, we could make the screen visible, but at this point in the process it is highly desireable that we look like any other Windows application and display our messages in the desktop, so we will probably switch to using an ActiveX control that duplicates GETFILES() but can function as an SDI. It adds more weight to this routine, but maintains the image we want to achieve.
