I just finished my work at Bata Shoe Organization, too - they didn't want to renew my contract. Supposedly there isn't so much work to do (I disagree), and "what little maintenance work" is left for the system I was programming can be done - according to management - by another guy who is staying (and who is also in charge of a few other projects).
Personally that isn't a great catastrophe, fortunately, since I have several other small jobs teacher at the Cisco Networking Academy, occasional translations, and others. And probably some occasional work with Bata Shoe Organization, perhaps when my baby doesn't behave.
