I guess it depends on where you live, Al.
I hear stories about wait lists here too.
Back on March 15 I was diagnosed with a rather nasty disease. I was operated on on April 12.

Frankly, I didn't consider that wait any kind of issue at all.

I know there remain big issues with emergency attendance/care. I know there are cases where procedures deemed less-than-critical are deferred. But my experience does say that things are indeed getting better.

I still feel that never having treatment denied for reasons like "pre-existing condition not covered" or "beyond the policy's stated financial limit" or "beyond the policy's lifetime limit" or "without insurance we require $200,000 cash to do the treatment" is the superior situation.
Wait time issues are more readily addressable than denails of treatment for whatever reason.
