It doesn't *seem* to be, but I'm not sure. Is there any way to know? Is it possible it's something else? Have you (or anyone else) been able to APPEND FROM Excel 2000 spreadsheets? I've tried TYPE XLS, XL5 and XL8 -- to no avail.
