First, what do you mean with "save the image to my database file"? - I certainly hope you are not using General fields in a Visual FoxPro database, since they have several problems. The recommended approach is to keep the image as an image file - e.g. in the JPEG format - and have only the filename in the database. I am not sure how this is handled in a C/S environment.

I don't know of any VFP command to resize an image; it would be best, IMO, to keep the image in the original size, so as to have the best quality, and only resize it on the form or report.

Otherwise (if you insist), I suspect you would have to look for some image manipulation program that has the corresponding command-line arguments. For example, the freeware IrfanView - www.irfanview.com is an excellent utility for viewing files and doing some manipulation; the help file mentions lots of command-line arguments, but I never used them.
