Ah history. Jews were certainly complicit in the death of Jesus. But that has nothing to do with the stories propagated by the priests and leaders afterwards. Today we must of course note that it is more conducive to good relations with all religions and faiths (less devisive) to state that all of mankind shares responsibility for Jesus' death, and that blame should not be placed collectively on the Jews of the time (nor the Jews of today).

>>>Funny how people distort history and read and understand what they want any way they want it.

>>>He died because he crossed the Romans who where the conquering power in the land. They simply did not like his message, or were worried about him inciting a rebellion so they used their form of capital punishmment. He did not died for anybody. He died for his speeches and acts, right or wrong, in the eyes of the local powers. As for the second part, there were no Christians around anywhere, as they did not yet exist. He was a Jew when he was born and he was Jewish when he died.

>>You mean to say that the man who said:"Render unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's and render unto God that which is God's" saitd the wrong thing? You would think that a Jew who told Isrealis to pay their taxes to Rome would be well liked.

>The way I understand it - and leaving aside hard-to-verify claims about God actually being willing to sacrifice Him - it was the Jews who wanted Him killed (for blasphemy or something similar), and the representative from Rome yielded, rather unwillingly.
