isn't it odd that people cannot stay where they are and produce trade goods. Then trade with other nations so that all may benefit. For that to happen, rich nations should lower their own barriers to imports and allow poor nations to protect their own industries with tarrifs; but it seems to be the other way around.
Compliments of the season, anyway. Lets hope 2008 is a better year for everybody.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
