Coming from VFP, which language would be the best fit (in terms of doing RAD for database apps)? Which among them would be the "easiest" one to learn as far as making the jump from VFP is concerned?

In VS2008, both languages are "on par". Before VS2008, I always felt C# was stronger. Now they're much closer. Pick whichever you are more comfortable with. (But know that there are slightly more C# developers out there than VB.NET developers)
