Too bad that corporate greed, and by extension the politicians who could do something about it, rule the day and make it so. Of course it is their fudiciary duty to protect and grow shareholder value that makes them do it. No need to look to the future impact of their decisions because only this quarter's bottom line matters. And anyway, the next person in the CEO chair can worry about that.
