Funny that you should mention the second book. I actually got it for a Christmas gift. I'm thinking of taking it back though since it appears to be using VS2005. I'd prefer to learn it from a VS2008 perspective. Anyway, I suppose it won't hurt to learn raw XAML in the mean time. Oh yeah, and before that, learn the .NET way of thinking :)

>While there is nothing out about WPF and VS2008, you can get started with it. WPF is a mind shift in how to create a good UI. You need to think differently, so it will be good to get started learning it.

>>Thanks guys. I'll take a look at those links that were mentioned.

>>As for books, no one recommended any (that I could see). Is this because VS2008/WPF/Blend is too new? I know I've checked out the local Chapters store and they have nothing currently available on the subject. There are several books (only one dealing with VS2008 and WPF), but, they're only pre-order and won't be available well into the new year. I was very surprised.

>>Also, are those frameworks mentioned here commercial products? Any free one?
