Yes, and it doesn't. Used to work once upon a time, probably during 0.9 or some such beta version of it, and there was an entry in about:config that was reset upon some major release, and I didn't really bother to find it again - this is UT, #nnnnnnn for message number is enough for all that I may need.

Haven't had problem with that anywhere, if the id/pass don't appear automagically when the page loads (which they do on UT always), doubleclick in the id field brings it or at least brings the autofill list. I never understood what the "remember me" checkbox was for. Does it force a cookie or what?
