I think you're exactly right. Raises the idea of 'professional team' to another level. This has to mean really exceptional coaching. Randy Moss's experience in NE is a prime example.

The two passes to Moss show a confidence that can only come from knowing that you can focus when it really counts - and that means playing every minute, every down, every time.

I hope they go the distance. This is the best football I've ever seen.

>I tell you what - now we know why the Patriots never let up on teams, even while up by several touchdowns. Bill B. trained them to be a 4-quarter team. There's a reason why QBs like McNabb are sucking wind in the 4th quarter of games, a reason why the KC Chiefs have blown a ton of 2nd half leads....and why the Pats are so strong late in the game. Bill B. trained them to be 60-minute men.

>The idea that Moss would run fly patterns on consecutive plays is almost unheard of -most receivers would be back at the bench after the first pattern, to get oxygen...not Moss.

>I am neutral on New England, I neither root for nor against them. (I'd love to see a Jax/GB Super Bowl!) But I appreciate what we're seeing - perhaps the greatest single-season of any NFL team, ever. This is certainly the SMARTEST team I've ever seen.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
