>I
can't say. Happy now? :o)
Much happier :-)
>I thought putting the information out there was warranted. Perhaps I will not share in the future since everything is questioned (particularly when the information is not something someone wishes to hear). There is a lot of 'attacking the messenger' here on the UT. If I don't post links supporting whatever I write, then everything is questioned. If I post links then I see derisive comments posted on the number of links I post as well. I think the information should be known, and anyone who wishes to consider it can do the research themselves. A good rule of thumb is to always question everything, I agree. If someone writes something that you question or disagree with, do some research and learn for yourself.
For the record, the only .Net experience I have is a small ASP.NET 1.1/C# project I did a couple of years ago. I like C#, I actively dislike VB.Net. I have no reason to "attack" you, your information isn't something I don't want to hear; if anything, it's the opposite.
I certainly did question your source(s); if that came across as an "attack", please accept my apologies. If you want to stop posting because you don't like having your posts questioned, that choice is yours. But I'll tell you up front I'm not going to stop questioning posts in case I offend peoples' sensibilities. The minute that happens, for me most of the value of this, or any other discussion forum, is gone.

>>>Al, I've seen many things that are consistent with what Tracy said...
>>
>>Cool. I specifically said I don't know if she's right or wrong. I just object to someone quoting research to add authority to what they say and not telling us what it is. We don't know if it's from Gartner, the Society for the Advancement of C# over VB.Net, or whoever.
>>
>>There are some cases where a company pays big bucks for a survey or white paper, and they're not allowed to disseminate its contents outside their organization. If Tracy had said she
can't say who it is, that's one thing. That she
won't say, that's something else.

>>Dennis asked a serious question, and I imagine quite a few people (myself included) are interested in seeing serious answers.
