>I just downloaded and installed the OLE DB Provider and I'm trying to use it with the SQL Server Import/Export Wizard. However, when I choose it from the datasource dropdown menu, it says that the OLE DB Provider for VFP 9 is not available. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
You're assumed the VFP oledb provider was well-tested for use with SSIS. I have had the same problem and have no idea how to solve it or whom to ask.
My suggestion is to google FullContact which is an excellent product for doing VFP to SQL data conversions and saved me a lot of frustration. You can map your VFP database or free tables to SQL and it will create structures or move just data - lots of options and it remembers the mapping as a package.
Only consider the Enterprise version ( about $250 and WELL worth it )

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
