I have about a dozen beta testers and only one of them is having this problem. My application installer is putting data files in biz_local, biz_common, and biz_shared in a folder called "ProgramData IsInc" on the C drive. The program files are put in C:\Program Files\Instructional Software\Biz_Doc.

The Codemine dialog asks where the three data folders are and we locate each of them in the "ProgramData IsInc" folder. When we click OK an error message appears indicating that the application cannot find AppReg01 in C:\Program Files\Instructional Software\Biz_Doc. Well they’re located in the C:\ProgramData\biz_shared folder that we located for the application using the Codemine dialog.

For kicks we moved the AppReg01 files to the Biz_Doc program folder and ran the app again. Then an error occurred stating that it couldn’t find AppReg02. We tried the same thing again and got an error stating that it could not find the database container.

The application seems to be looking for all of the data files in the programs folder C:\Program Files\Instructional Software\Biz_Doc even though we entered where they are located in a separate data folder on the C: drive.

As I mentioned, only one of the beta testers are having this problem. He is using Vista Ultima. He says he is logged on as an administrator and we used the Run as Administrator option.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what could be causing this and what we might do to remedy it? TIA
