>>I saw I am legend a couple of days ago. Apart from being disappointed by the film could someone tell me why people have to send text messages during films. Its a while since I've been in a full cinema and I was amazed sitting in the back row to constantly be distracted by phone screens. I don't know if its the same in the US but here I felt as if I was in a cinema full of morons.

>because people are text-mad. I get infuriated at morons texting and reading texts whilst in my or other's company anyway - in cinema, house or pub. Isn't the company good enough for them? Unless urgent there's no need to reply at once (that's how texts are useful) but they do! But texting in the cinema takes the cake. Can't say I've noticed it but I always want to slap the damn things out of their hands anyway (and if I connect with teh face at the same time - all the better). Funny how we all got along without them altogether back in he day - managed to arrange meetings, even in a crowd ("see you at the foot of the statue" for instance) - BEFOREHAND.

>How was Legend BTW? I tend to have liked all Smith's films.

Not as I'd hoped. The book ends with a neat twist. The film ends with a huge slice of cheesy American Moms Apple Pie.
