Tone down the purple prose, dude! LOL
My picks are the Seahawks (who will go no further), Giants, and Chargers. Not sure about the Steelers vs. Jaguars.
This is New England's to lose but San Diego and Indy give them something to think about.
>Wow, this week has shot by quickly....here we go, Swami Jr's NFL Wild Card round predictions:
>
>- On Saturday at 4:30, the 9-7 Redskins travel to Seattle to take on the 10-6 Seahawks at Qwest on NBC. As much as I'd LOVE, really LOVE to pick the 'Skins, Seattle just has a little too much. The 'Skins might be able to shut down Shaun Alexander, but won't be able to do that against Hasselback. Seattle just has too many weapons, plus they have home field. While I won't be shocked if we see an upset, I'm picking Seattle.
>
>- On Saturday night at 8PM (also on NBC), the 11-5 Jags travel to the big Ketchup bottle to take on the 10-6 Steelers. NO ONE seems to think the Steelers have a prayer against a bruising Jax team. Neither do I...go with the Jags.
>
>- On Sunday at 1 PM on Fox, the 10-6 Giants travel to the New Sombrero to face the 9-7 Bucs. (Side note: in both conferences, a wild card team with a better record is a road team against a division winner). This is a toughie - the Giants looked very good against the Pats, but history shows that teams do very poorly the week after playing New England. Eli doesn't have a playoff win, and Garcia has playoff experience. Go with the Bucs.
>
>- Then the late game on CBS on Sunday features the 10-6 Music City Miracle against the 11-5 Lightning Bolts. Swami Jr thinks the Tuxedos should start Kerry Collins, who would give the Titans their only hope. But as it stands, Vince Young is starting....bye bye, Titans. Go with San Diego in what could be a blow-out.
