Wisconsin gave a Tennessee team all that it wanted and lost by 4 points. Hard to call that a butt whoopin'.

Michigan beat a tough Florida team.

Illinois had no business in the Rose Bowl. USC is an elite team while Illinois is only a great team. I think Illinois could have hung with Hawaii and a lot of other teams in high tier bowls.

Indiana got rolled, but they are a tough young team just starting to taste success.

Purdue beat a emotionally charged Central Michigan and are a solid team.

Michigan State only lost to BC after a BS no call for a push off on a TD reception. Even considering that State gave BC all that it wanted and lost by a FG.

Penn State beat A&M. I no longer believe Penn State is elite, but they are always tough and dangerous.

OSU has a great chance and I would not count them out. They have just a good a chance to win as LSU does.

Minnesota sucks, but they are going through a coaching change and have been recruiting well.

Northwestern sucks, but are also going through an unfortunate coaching change.

Iowa is a conundrum. Very frustrating team to be a fan of.

All in all, Big Ten is 3-4 in bowls and are 9 points away from being 5-2. Hard to say they suck based on that.

>Michigan was about the only overrated Big 10 team to win a bowl game. And take it to the bank, OSU will not add to the total.

>>Mikey Mikey Mikey (and I can call you that because you can call me that ;-)),
>>
>>Just like Florida was going to crush Mich? The Big 10 is in a small recession, but they don't suck by any means. I will debate this to my death.
>>
>>>The Badgers suck, I am sorry to report as an alum. The Big 10 (the conference that can't count) basically sucks from top to bottom in both football and basketball. They are living on a reputation they no longer deserve.
>>>
>>>I will not watch the BCS game on Monday. LSU is going to destroy Ohio State.
>>>
>>>>Just trash talking.
>>>>
>>>>LOL, I know. ;)

>>>>The Big 10 should be pretty fun to watch - I love watching Michigan State, and both Indiana and the Badgers look pretty good. In all honesty, I don't think they're the 'best' conference, but they'll surely have a good showing come tournament time. I just looked at Iowa's schedule - brutal!
>>>>
>>>>Then you have conferences like Conference USA with 1 strong team (Memphis, which seeems to have a great shooting percentage) and then not much after that (unless you actually think Houston is a good team...I personally haven't rooted for them since Phi Slamma Jamma back in the early '80's)
>>>>
>>>>If you want "balance", the Big East has 9 teams with 10 or more wins, but granted, conference play has barely started. I was hoping West Virginia would be a sleeper this year, but their loss to Oklahoma last week was troubling. (I admit I'm partial, I'm a big Big East fan)
>>>>
>>>>Tracy will shoot me, but the ACC is severely overrated. Yeah, NC is a great time, surely destined for the dance, but beyond the Tar Heels and maybe Duke, it's a soft conference. Evidence: Kansas is going to walk into Chestnut Hill this Saturday and turn the BC Eagles into the BC Roadkill.
>>>>
>>>>To me, the best overall conference is a tie between the Big 12, the Pac 10, and the SEC. As much as I hate the SEC, I'd actually have to give a slight nod to them.
>>>>
>>>>So here's my "conference" ranking, take it or leave it:

>>>>SEC
>>>>Big 12
>>>>Pac 10
>>>>Big East / Big 10 (tie...I think the Big East is better, but the Big 10 has Drew Nietzel)
>>>>ACC (hey, at least I think the ACC is better than the Missouri Valley Conference!) :)
