If the report is included in the exe, then it is read only. In this case, copy the frx and frt files to temp files (using COPY FILE), open the temp frx (using USE) and change what you need to change in the frx table, close the frx and run the report from the temp frx.

But, first, see if Jim's answer doesn't solve your problem. :)
