Numeric is numeric ... doesn't matter if it's ASP.NET or not. How it's handled could be different in WinForms vs ASP.NET depending on what controls you're trying to display the data in.

As for using validators or not ... you're going to have to ask the question again in the ASP.NET category if you want to get an answer, because I sure can't help you out with an ASP.NET question. Sorry. =0(
