>>>Accidentally, "to sew someone" in our slang back home means "beat him dead in a card game". Though I assume you had a different game in mind, with a similar outcome :).

>I usually reserve this sort of nitpicking for native speakers, under a naive assumption that they are the custodians of the language. What fooled me is that your English is usually too good for a native :). Anyway, I could have come back and updated my message, but I didn't, because I just liked the effect.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm pickier than others about my grammar and sentence structure. (Never end a sentence with a preposition)(When speaking of people use the word 'who' and not 'that' as in 'Bob is the person who ate the dog.' and not 'Bob is the person that ate the dog.')

However I consider advertisers and the media to be the worst offenders when it comes to skewing the language. Along with that problem, I have heard that teachers no longer really care about grammar saying, "as long as they are communicating all is well"

For anyone else reading this. Your meals are not 'healthy'. They are dead! Dead is not a healthy state. Thanks to advertisers (Healthy Choice) for that idiotic idea.

Maybe we're being downgraded for the Islamic take over.
I ain't skeert of nuttin eh?
Yikes! What was that?
