Have you even attempted to learn .NET ? There is a lot there to like. Do you use SQL Server for a backend? I don't question the validity of your emotions and I love Foxpro and wish MS had made my life easier by insisting everyone write everything in Foxpro, but the more I learn .NET ( and the more they improve the platform ) the more I like it.
The real point is - you are talking about employment in the IT industry. I have been self-employed for 25 years so it isn't much of an issue for me, but if I thought there was any chance I'd need to look for a job in the last 5 or next 20 years I'd be expanding my skillset waaaay beyound VFP just as fast as I could.

-- T. S. Eliot

Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin
