That's really strange...

Yesterday I tried the 1st sample, using _EdOpenFil, and it returned me just the plain text, with no formatting at all !

But this was at home, I have to check the environment that I used for that sample. Maybe i tested it under a previous version of VFP.

Now, at work, both samples returned the same output.

Thanks again for the explanation, samples and bug fixes !
I've learned some good ones today.
