I thought about that, but then with all the eggheads on here, I would probably get an answer in Hex!

So, it seems that my premise that the lips only affected an octave for each combination was wrong. The combinations allow 7 half-steps (120 and 003 are the same, so 003 is not used). That is still a little confusing to me.
