He knew back then that announcement bell will eventually ring for VFP
so plan was to actually warm up for upcomming NET. If they did not go bancrupt, by now they wld be probably having *well over 70%* (!) of those apps redeveloped in NET. <g>

Aldough sticking with VFP could hv probably still kept them in business, that 'Latest&Greatest' technology lure was soooo,so shiny ! So from one side you have nice shiny prospect, and from other side serious,serious threat of loosing all your prestige, and living life of a tecnology outcast.

Still dizzy after that year shiny DevCon, even CTO's can make mistakes sometimes. I am sure every 'flathead' or bassfish can understand him completely for baiting that lure. <vbg>
