My memory is not that good. But I do remember 'store B register' being available on certain models. And I do remember using the punch band and the print band for storage when not punching/printing.
I never had use of a disk system - tape was as fancy as we got.

Did you run on 360/30s too, in compatibility mode? I found that strange at first.
